Golf Cart Attendant
Golf course in Boynton Beach, Florida is looking for a Golf Cart Attendant.

Position Overview:
The purpose of this classification is to assist with golf pro shop operations, golf cart maintenance, and to provide customer service to golfers/customers.

Duties:
• Provide direction, guidance, and assistance to golfers and customers.
• Perform customer service functions; assist with information related to golf course operations, services, activities, equipment rentals, fees, and procedures. Respond to routine questions, complaints, or service requests. Initiate problem resolution.
• Operate a motorized golf cart to transport customers around golf course grounds.
• Administer CPR or first aid in emergency situations.
• Perform manual tasks including re-charging golf carts, cleaning carts, loading golf bags, cleaning golf clubs, replacing sand, and lifting heavy materials.
• Operate machinery and tools including tractors, golf carts, range ball machines, two-way radios, shovels, and mechanic tools.
• Conduct general maintenance to keep equipment operable such as battery maintenance, tire pressure checks, refueling, washing equipment, and cleaning work areas. Monitor equipment for efficiency and safety. Report faulty equipment.
• Follow safety procedures, use safety equipment, and monitor the work environment to ensure individual and staff safety.
• Communicate via telephone or two-way radio; provide information and assistance, take and relay messages, and respond to service requests.
• Coordinate with supervisors, employees, other divisions, departments, customers, the public, and relevant individuals to review work status, exchange information, or resolve issues.

Requirements:
Must have knowledge of golf rules; and
Possess [or able to obtain within fourteen (14) days of hire] and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license.
Effectively communicates with supervisor, employees, other departments, contractors, engineers, companies, vendors, outside agencies, the public, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
Accurately and expeditiously receives and delivers messages and information to the appropriate individuals.
Ability to prepare accurate and thorough written records and reports.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervisory direction.
Ability to understand and quickly and accurately follow brief oral and written instructions on moderately complex matters.
Ability to operate golf cart and motor-driven range equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with golf course staff and the public. Maintain a congenial rapport with all those he or she comes in contact with.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Ability to adhere to all safety regulations of the department and City.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions as may be required.
Must have sufficient physical strength necessary for performance of duties.

Preferred:
Experience working at a public/municipal golf facility.
Possess CPR certification.

Compensation:
$15.75 per hour.
