1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Paramus, New Jersey is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Oversee and administer all aspects of the golf operation. The individual that fills this position will collaborate closely with other members of the professional team to provide exceptional member and guest experience through a variety of events, instruction, and merchandising programs. This position requires mindfulness, diligence, and a willingness to grow within the industry. In addition, this individual will have many opportunities within tournament operations, junior golf, private instruction, club fitting, coordinating corporate and charity outings, merchandising, and playing golf with members.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
• Lead, manage, and assist with all facility tournaments across the Men’s, Ladies, Junior, and Outside Event programs.
• Assist in the purchasing, merchandising, and inventory control of all hard goods, soft goods, and special orders.
• Conduct individual lessons and group instruction.
• Knowledge of the latest marketing trends and teaching innovations within the industry.
• Excellent communicative and interpersonal skills.
• Able to prioritize, problem-solve, and implement in a timely manner.
• Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market.
• Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the section.
• Encouraged to play golf with the membership on a regular basis.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, 2+ years experience as an Assistant Professional preferred.

Compensation:
$60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year.
