Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Stanley, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist with all aspects of golf operations, provide exceptional customer service to our members and guests, and help maintain the high standards of our golf program.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Golf Operations Support:
o Assist in managing daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, check-ins, and course pace of play practices.
o Provide assistance with managing the golf shop, including inventory control, merchandising, and sales.
o Ensure proper setup and organization of tournaments, events, and member outings.
o Enforce club policies and maintain course rules to ensure a positive member experience.
2. Instruction:
o Offer golf lessons and clinics for members of all skill levels.
o Assist the Head Golf Professional in running golf camps and instructional programs.
o Develop and provide group and individual lessons tailored to the needs of members.
3. Customer Service/ Hospitality:
o Maintain a high standard of customer service, answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring an excellent experience for all golfers.
o Foster positive relationships with members, guests, and staff.
o Assist with managing the club’s golf outings and tournaments, providing on-course support as needed.
4. Golf Shop Operations:
o Assist in managing the golf shop’s daily operations, including inventory control and sales.
o Stay informed about new golf equipment, apparel, and technology to better assist members in product selection.
o Provide recommendations and advice on club fitting and merchandise.
5. Event & Tournament Support:
o Help organize and run golf tournaments, including assisting with event logistics, scoring, and post-event activities.
o Ensure tournaments and events are executed seamlessly and professionally.
6. Professional Development:
o Stay updated on the latest trends, teaching methods, and golf technologies.
o Attend training sessions, workshops, and golf-related conferences to improve skills and stay informed.

Requirements:
Experience in golf operations, teaching, or a related field.
PGA Apprentice or PGA Membership status is preferred, but not required.
Strong knowledge of golf rules, techniques, and etiquette.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional appearance.
Customer service-oriented with a passion for promoting the game of golf.
Proficient in golf shop operations and point-of-sale systems.
Ability to give lessons to golfers of varying abilities.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk the course, and assist with events and tournaments.

Compensation:
$20.00 – $22.00 per hour.
