Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Eureka, Missouri is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assists with the directing of daily activities of the entire golf operation in accordance with the philosophy, policy and procedures of the club. In addition, all assistant golf professionals assist with the management of the Golf Shop to ensure the highest level of service to patrons and guests.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all members and guests are greeted and welcomed in a professional and courteous manner.
• Establish and maintain responsibility with the cleanliness and appearance of the Golf Shop, storage areas, and merchandise displays.
• Plan for and schedule manpower to include assistant golf professionals, shop coordinators, and outside operations staff. Assist with establishing equipment and supply requirements for the department and maintain accountability for cost, payroll, utilization, and performance of employees and equipment.
• Maintain a high profile with patrons and guests. Must positively promote the service philosophy.
• Consult with the Director of Golf on merchandise purchases and maintain established acceptable inventory levels ensuring profitability through inventory turnover and cost of sales control guidelines.
• Maintain ordering, receiving, and storage programs as established by LCC.
• Establish and administer the club tournament program. Assist in the development of promotional materials to communicate the programs to patrons and guests.
• Direct outside golf operations, ensuring that the outside operations supervisor properly controls patron and guest services. Responsible for the set-up and maintenance of practice range, starter, ranger, cart maintenance, and club repair activities.
• Assist in the planning and execution of outings and events. Promote golf through communication with members and tournament chairpersons.
• Assume responsibility as the manager/supervisor in the golf operation during peak periods, and in the absence of the Director of Golf, ensuring service standards are maintained.
• Maintain control of employee uniforms, ensuring that uniforms and name tags are worn and kept in proper condition at all times.
• Answer telephones clearly and concisely, to schedule future starting times and communicate information in a pleasant and professional manner.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a team player and is dedicated to providing an exceptional Member experience.
He/she must have a minimum of 2 years in golf shop/golf professional experience.
