1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Salem, Virginia is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Here are the essential responsibilities for the Head Golf Professional role:
• Assist with all opening and closing procedures.
• Conduct facility tournament operations including weekly events.
• Responsible for Men’s tournament operations and weekly events including planning, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow-up.
• Conduct individual lessons to adults and juniors.
• Create a Junior Golf Program that leads to retention in members.
• Be a leader to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved.
• Oversee the golf car operation, practice facility, and club storage service.
• Provide club re-gripping services to customers.
• Play golf with a variety of members.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and always maintain a professional image.
• Assist with the administration of applicable staff via recordkeeping, work schedules, etc., in accordance with facility human resource policies.
• Manage the coordination of golf activities with other departments.

Requirements:
Knowledge of the game of golf, the rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations.
Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills within golf operations.
Service and customer-focused attitude.
Written and oral business communications skills.
Experienced computer users including Jonas POS System, Golf Genius, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
A credible golf game for playing with members and section events.
Desire to advance within the industry.

Compensation:
$40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year.
