Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Purchase, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Duties are not limited to but include: Project management and oversight of all agronomic practices, daily supervising and training of staff, course set-up and managing the golf course and grounds to the highest standards. The right individual will be self-motivated and carry high expectations for themselves and the golf course. Must be a team player and have strong communication skills. We promote a work/life balance with every other weekend off in-season—40-hour work weeks in the off-season. The club offers scholarships for continuing education.

Requirements:
Turf Certificate, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or a turfgrass-related field.
4-5 years working on a golf course.

Desired Character Traits:
Ability to multi-task, adapt to the environment, and prioritize the needs of turfgrass.
Construct, organize, and communicate daily assignments to staff and other assistants.
Hands-on leader with attention to detail and efficiency.

Special Requirements:
Must obtain a New York State Pesticide license within 90 days of hire.

Compensation:
$90,000 – $100,000 per year.
