Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Romeoville, Illinois is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Full-time position that will demand full-time hours. The golf professional staff is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the golf course as well as ensuring a positive experience for all guests, members, and fellow employees. The position will report directly to the Head Golf Professional.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Contributing to the establishment, promotion, and protection of the company brand.
• Communicating continually with other company departments to ensure a smooth flow of operations between the golf course, pro shop, MPC, F&B, and maintenance.
• Conducting interviews and selectively hiring part-time employees who are committed to representing the company in a positive manner.
• Training, developing, mentoring, and overseeing all bag drop, golf course, and MPC staff to ensure positive interactions take place between guests and employees. Continually assessing and retraining existing staff. Act as a role model for the staff.
• Managing the individual needs of the employees and continually monitoring morale.
• Scheduling employees to ensure demands are met, and providing coverage for staff during absence or illness, oftentimes at short notice.
• Assistance and attendance of all member events and company tournaments and being proficient with Golf Genius tournament software.
• Assisting in the teaching and attendance of junior development programs.
• Achieve moderate teaching goals as set forth by the Head Golf Professional and the Director of Instruction.
• Assist in merchandising and implementing inventory control measures.
• Monitoring inventory levels of golf course supplies and re-ordering when necessary.
• Becoming proficient with the reservation and POS system.

Requirements:
PGM Level 1.
Passed Playing Ability Test.
Minimum 2 years experience in an Assistant Professional role preferred.

Compensation:
$50,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year.
