1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Maple Grove, Minnesota is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for ensuring golfers enjoy an exceptional golf experience, and retail customers enjoy an exceptional shopping experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Main point of contact for day-of tournament facilitation.
• Manage par three ladies league.
• Teach adult-level and junior group golf lessons.
• Assist with golf operations by reserving tee times and greeting and checking in guests.
• Provide information and solutions for golfer questions.
• Enforce all rules and regulations regarding golf course usage.
• Assist in enrollment of cardholder programs and administration of GHIN handicaps.
• Communicate with maintenance department regarding daily play.
• Assist with course markings for Tournament and daily play.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally.
• Provide information and solutions for retail customers.
• Promote retail sales and assist with stocking and displaying merchandise.
• Proper care and handling of cash drawers, change banks, safes, and transaction paperwork.
• Complete daily open and/or close procedures.
• Maintain on-going training program for Player Services and On-Course Attendants.
• Schedule and supervise On-Course Attendants.
• Monitor Golf Shop Staff, Player Services Staff and On-Course Attendants to ensure all responsibilities are being met.
• In the event of employee gross misconduct or gross negligence, obtain employee’s keys and send them home for the day; Report situation to the DGO or HGP

Requirements:
Enrolled in PGA program recommended but not required.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
Adaptable, dependable and detail oriented.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Must display a positive attitude in managing interactions with others inside and outside the company.
Must be a self-starter and work effectively as a part of a team, helping others if needed
Computer skills, Word & Excel minimum.
Willingness to be flexible with working hours.
