Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Durham, North Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Golf Shop Duties:
• Each day, spread hospitality and goodwill among all members, guests, and visitors. Be knowledgeable in a wide variety of golf operations duties. Develop a thorough understanding of the overall university golf operation policies and procedures as well as general university policies and procedures.
• Supervise daily play and tournament events assigned by the head professional.
• Assist in the supervision of various departments: golf cars, practice range, bag storage and rentals, starter, and outside manager operations.
• Be available for any and all work-related duties as assigned by our head golf professional and/or General Manager/PGA Director of Golf.

Requirements:
Class ‘A’ PGA member or PGA Associate enrolled in the PGA Associate program (preferred Level II Associate).
College degree strongly preferred or commensurate work experience.
High level of interpersonal skills.
A person who loves playing golf.
A person who enjoys teaching the game of golf and wants to improve his teaching and coaching skillset.
Point of Sale experience, cash register reconciliation, credit card charging, etc.
Preferred golf work experience in ‘up-scale’ university, public, private, or resort golf operation.
Knowledge and experience in merchandising, tournament management including software, some social media/website communication experience.

Compensation:
$58,656.00 – $58,656.00 per year.
