1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Surprise, Arizona is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Head Golf Professional, this position will assist with the management of daily golf operations including managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, supervising golf staff, assisting with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments, teaching lessons and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional.
• Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to all patrons.
• Control and manage play; tee sheets, ensure guest check-in and fee collection in coordination with the starter.
• Manage the total operation of the practice facility.
• Provide golf instruction and clinics that is consistent with instructional methods, policies and procedures.
• Supervise, schedule and train golf shop personnel in customer service, golf processes and procedures and the Grand culture as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
• Assist in the purchasing, receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
• Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services;
• Manage handicap program.
• Assist in planning and budgeting for golf operations.
• Assist in managing tournaments and outings.
• Work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement corrective/disciplinary action; document as necessary.
• Maintain and monitor work procedure and processes.
• Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
• Keep current with events and activities occurring; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
1+ years of experience working in a golf shop with 2 years as an Assistant Golf Professional; completion of Level I Golf Professional Training Program preferred; knowledge of and use of computerized point-of-sale equipment and golf handicap programs; or a combination of education, experience, and training that indicates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position listed above.
Must possess, and maintain, a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Compensation:
$19.23 – $23.93 per hour.
