Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Clackamas, Oregon is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position will be responsible for shifts in the golf shop, management and growth of all course leagues, and tournament operations.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Tournament Operations.
• Partnering closely with Event Coordinator to execute all pre, day of and post tournament operations and league functions.
• Tournament operations consist of but are not limited to course set-up, preparation, scoring and prize distribution.
• Be detail-oriented and able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate effectively with all staff and membership before, during and after events.
• Skills in public speaking and presentation.
• Be a team player.
• Perform opening and/or closing procedures depending on shift scheduled.
• Golfer check-in and fee collection.
• Online tee time booking and tee sheet management.
• Monitor pace of play and starting times.
• Assist with tournament operations and other scheduled golf and non-golf events.
• Assist with pro-shop merchandising and overall appearance of the pro-shop.
• Promotion of all facilty programs and activities.
• Candidates must have leadership abilities, positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, strong computer skills, and have a strong desire to become a PGA member.
• Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for the game and business of golf, professional deamenor, strong customer service skills, and an ability to be organized and timely.
Must have knowledge of and experience in the game of golf.
1-3 years experience related work experience.
PGA Member, Associate or Affiliate highly preferred but not required.
Must be able and willing to speak in front of large groups.
Golf Genius Tournament Software Experience a plus.

Compensation:
$17.00 – $20.00 per hour.
