Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Broken Bow, Nebraska is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Direct and supervise the maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, driving range, roughs, maintenance shop, grounds, and clubhouse landscaping.
• Supervise all planting, fertilizing, and care of turf, plants, shrubs, trees, and other facilities on the golf course, grounds, and equipment.
• Responsible for maintenance, operation, management, preparation, and condition of the golf courses and grounds.
• Grow, maintain, and manicure varieties of turf grass, ensuring continued
quality of turf.
• Manage and document chemical, pesticide, and fertilizer use.
• Implement the agronomic plan for the golf course.
• Communicate daily with Club House staff on golf course condition and playability.
• Prepare an annual budget and achieve financial goals throughout the year through proper forecasting, expense controls, and labor management.
• Plan and implement schedules of fertilizer, aeration, weed management and other related activities.
• Hire and train all staff within department, and ensure staff is working within guidelines for safe working conditions.
• Ensure that equipment is properly serviced and maintained.
• Reconcile and provide timely coding of all invoices, payroll, and other required documents.
• Manage seasonal employees.
• Report to Board of Directors monthly.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in golf course supervision is preferred.
Superior leadership and managerial skills.
Knowledge of best practices for golf course tees, fairways, greens, and seeding.
Knowledge of maintenance practices for golf course turf, planting, cultivating, pruning, and caring for plants, shrubs, and trees.
Knowledge of proper use of fertilizers and soil conditions, herbicide and pest control, drainage methods and irrigation systems.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
Strong communication skills and multitasking required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associates/Bachelor’s degree in turf management or a related field (agriculture, viticulture, arboriculture, etc.) or a 2-year professional certificate program preferred.
Golf Course Superintendents Association of America membership preferred.
Additional/continuing education related to project management, financial or human capital management is a plus.

Compensation:
$40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year.
