Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Diablo, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Duties:
• Maintain a good standing with active classification in the PGA of America.
• Help oversee and manage day-to-day operations.
• Oversee the setup, accuracy, and billing of each day’s tee sheet.
• Assist in managing practice facilities, private golf cart storage, and club storage service.
• Assist members and guests with pre-golf check-in, special orders, and any problem-solving situation and policy information.
• Assist the Head Golf Professional in tournament operations. This includes planning, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and summary.
• Assist the Head Golf Professional with supervising and mentoring Golf Shop and Player Service Staff to provide exceptional service to members and guests
• Order merchandise and supplies necessary to the operation (range balls, tees, towels, ball markers, ball mark repair tools, scorecards, and pencils).
• Help and assist with golf course pace of play.
• Provide members with club fitting and golf club repair services.
• Interpret and enforce golf rules and regulations.
• Assist with merchandise presentation and inventory management.
• Provide quality golf instruction to members and guests.
• Maintain playing ability.
• Provide golf orientations to new members.
• Play golf with members and prospective members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Requires a highly professional demeanor with members, guests and staff, adaptability, flexibility, and adherence to a strict level of confidentiality.
Ability to give clear instructions and comprehend and carry out instructions.
Ability to work as a team player and lead by example.
Ability to work all shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
Ability to read, write, see, speak, and hear English.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic internet skills.
2 years’ experience in an accredited golf operation.
High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
PGA Apprentice, Level 1 minimum, Level 2 or Level 3 preferred.

Compensation:
$23.00 – $25.00 per hour.
