Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Essex, Maryland is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Assists the Golf Course Superintendent in the management of all turfgrass maintenance operations. Supervises turfgrass maintenance staff, coordinates daily work activities, assists with agronomic programs, and serves as acting superintendent in the Superintendent’s absence.
Essential Functions
Personnel Management
• Supervises and directs turfgrass maintenance employees.
• Assists with hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Conducts daily crew meetings and work assignments.
• Promotes safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
Agronomic Management
• Assists in the implementation of turfgrass maintenance programs.
• Coordinates irrigation scheduling and water management activities.
• Oversees pesticide and fertilizer applications.
• Monitors turf conditions and recommends corrective actions.
Operational Management
• Assists in scheduling labor, equipment, and resources.
• Oversees course setup and tournament preparation.
• Coordinates maintenance projects and improvements.
• Assists with inventory management and purchasing.
Administrative Duties
• Maintains maintenance records and reports.
• Assists with budgeting and cost control efforts.
• Supports environmental compliance initiatives.

Requirements
Three years of progressive golf course maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Maryland Pesticide Applicator Certification or ability to obtain.

Compensation
$57,000 to $62,500 per year.
