2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Denver, Colorado is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
This role supports daily course operations, including irrigation system maintenance and assisting with the supervision of the maintenance team.

Specifically, as a Second Assistant Superintendent/Irrigation Technician for Golf Course you will:
• At times direct, train, and supervise seasonal course staff and be the go-to full time staff for all course maintenance and communication
• Assist with fertilizer and chemical applications
• Perform irrigation system maintenance
• Monitor and troubleshoot irrigation system issues as they arise
• Read irrigation drawings and performs construction and maintenance/repair and replacement of broken parts on various equipment including pipes, sprinklers, hoses, and more
• Research, introduce, and execute sustainable irrigation practices at the course
• Participate in other course maintenance responsibilities including mowing, snow removal, supervision, customer communication, and coordination with the Golf Pro Shop
• Operate and maintain various lightweight vehicles and equipment

Requirements
• Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate
• ability to obtain State of Colorado Pesticide licensure with 12 months of employment
• Experience working on golf course operations
• Experience maintaining and repairing irrigation equipment
• Experience working with Toro Links Operating System (or similar systems)
• A professional demeanor and collaborative spirit
• Experience with managing others
• Experience with fertilizer and chemical applications

Compensation
$24 to $27 per hour.
