Assistant Golf Coach
University in Riverside, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
Report directly to the Director of the UCR Golf program. The position is primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf program including, but not limited to, recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, fostering and supporting student-athlete welfare and skill-development, statistics analysis, practice and game day preparation and coaching, scheduling, budget management, fundraising and public relations, and adherence to the NCAA, Big West, and University rules. The successful candidate must communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and boosters while interacting successfully with department personnel and the University community.

Requirements:
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position.
Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training with a college-level program.
2 – 4 years of related experience.
Minimum of 2 years of collegiate coaching or comparable experience.
May need to maintain NCAA certified recruiter status.
May need to maintain CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
PGA / LPGA certification.
Certification.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants.
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making; be an effective problem solver and effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Specialized knowledge of the team sport or activity, as well as basic technical expertise in coaching principles.
Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), as well as other associations and agencies to which the campus adheres, and, at all times avoid any and all violations of these rules and standards.
Demonstrated effective problem-solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing.

Preferred: Experience coaching Golf at the D1/D2 NCAA level

Compensation:
$44,800 – $73,200 per year.
