Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Golf course in Huntsville, Alabama is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
The desire to learn; you will have the ability to be put in every situation an Assistant Superintendent will be and you will be properly trained in order to become a well-rounded Assistant in the future.

Duties:
• AIT’s will be involved in every detail of the golf course maintenance.
• Communication is incredibly important and will be emphasized throughout your time here.
• Need to have the ability/desire to train, learn and execute every task that is done on a daily basis.
• An array of projects and large scale upgrades to be intimately involved in planning and executing.
• Daily, will be involved in working on scheduling/executing of tasks with other Assistants/Superintendent.
• Tournament set-up and planning will be a major focus of your time here.
• Learning the proper hand-watering techniques will be crucial to your success here at The Ledges.
• Must be able to grasp what it takes to maintain a golf course at a high level daily.
• You will also have the ability to be involved in reel maintenance, equipment maintenance, and work directly with the Equipment Manager and Mechanics.

Requirements:
2-year degree preferred.
Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
Will help facilitate online degree program for the right individual.
1 to 3 years of golf course maintenance experience preferred.
Desire to learn is more important.

Compensation:
$19 – $22 per hour.
