Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in La Quinta, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Your main objective is to provide the highest level of customer service to the club’s members and their guests. As an exclusive private golf club, we strive to exceed all expectations of our clientele. As a member of the professional staff, you will be asked to assist in this mission daily.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Manage Daily operations of the golf course by starting groups off of Hole #1. Since this facility does not offer tee times, the duty of Starter for the assistant professionals is crucial to daily success of the golf department. Actively understand and responsible for Jonas tee sheet for proper rounds tracking and billing of guest fees.
• Properly manage pace of play, and communicate with members judiciously to ensure the overall satisfaction of the players each day.
• Assist with Tournament Operations via Golf Genius tournament software.
• Properly operate the point-of-sale system (Jonas), which includes charging and crediting members for merchandise, keeping tabs on demo clubs, and ultimately running all closing reports.
• Assist Merchandiser in keeping the shop clean through dusting, vacuuming, folding and straightening out merchandise.
• Answer phones, record golf requests, and assist with all member/guest needs and requests.
• Assist Locker Room Manager with closing procedures, and notifying the Security gate of any information for the next business day.
• Assist with the inventory process and under the guidance of the Director of Golf and the Merchandiser, place special orders, order and receive merchandise.
• Assist the golf staff with instructional clinics and golf instructional programs.
• Oversee and guide the outside service staff, maintaining a high level of customer service by aiding in the attention to detail in everything we offer.

Essential Responsibilities:
• The employee is regularly required to sit and walk. The employee must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee must be able to see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, bend and reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Candidates must have a warm, friendly demeanor to make our members and guests feel at home.
• Communication skills must be at a high-level to be able to provide the best experience to our members and their guests. Proper, respectful communication between other staff members is also vital.
• Punctuality is important to the success of the staff operation, especially for opening procedures.
• Leadership and integrity – candidates should lead by example in all aspects of their work, always being courteous and respectful to others, and representing the Quarry with professionalism at all times.

Requirements:
PGA Associate Level 1 or higher.
Golf Genius proficient.
JONAS proficient.

Compensation:
$24.00 – $26.00 per hour.
