Head Golf Coach
University in Olivet, Michigan is looking for a Head Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the position directs the operations of the UO Men’s and Women’s Golf programs, recruits prospective student-athletes and coaches student-athletes in the sport of Golf.

Key responsibilities:
• Direct the operations of the golf programs within the standards of the university and applicable governing bodies.
• Educate and coach student-athletes in the sport of golf.
• Envision and drive growth for the university’s golf programs.
• Recruit prospective student-athletes according to the enrollment goals and admissions standards of the university.
• Schedule and coordinate competition schedules, team travel accommodations, team tryouts, practices, meetings, individual workouts, and conditioning sessions.
• Coordinate the issuance, care, inventory, and collection of equipment, uniforms, and supplies for the golf programs.
• Submit appropriate equipment inventory forms to the Director of Athletics within the requested times.
• Manage golf budgets and coordinate team fundraising activities.
• Coordinate facility usage for the golf programs.
• Submit team rosters to the Director of Athletics on a regular basis.
• Ensure the proper completion of physical examinations and emergency medical authorization forms before student participation.
• Manage duties and responsibilities of assistant coaches with approval from the Director of Athletics.
• Coordinate and lead at least one team community service project annually.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, meetings, workouts, travel, and other team functions.
• Attend all athletic department meetings and designated university functions (e.g., pep rallies, homecoming, Hall of Fame inductions).
• Exhibit professional conduct with students, coaches, staff, alumni, spectators, officials, and opponents.
• Collect and submit student-athlete eligibility forms.
• Provide leadership that promotes positive attitudes and good sportsmanship.
• Inform team members of athletic program policies, procedures, and training rules.
• Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications on file with the Office of Athletics.
• Submit driving record verification for institutional vehicle use.
• Align with the missions and philosophies of the athletic program and university.
• Promote behaviors consistent with athletic handbook policies.
• Make decisions that support and enhance the athletic program.
• Maintain a proper perspective regarding the priorities of academics and athletics.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree and adequate knowledge about the fundamentals and techniques of Golf obtained through previous coaching at the high school and/or collegiate level.
