Girls Golf Coach
School in Grand Rapids, Michigan is looking for a Girls Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
Responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of the girls golf program at the sub-varsity level in accordance with the school’s mission of building an inclusive community rooted in the Catholic faith that prepares servant leaders for a Christ-centered life. The position will strive to help each individual achieve a higher value of discipline, teamwork, good sportsmanship, academic achievement and self-esteem.

Duties:
• Serves as a positive role model for students, coaching staff, and the community while upholding the values of the Catholic faith.
• Provides leadership that develops and promotes a unified athletic philosophy.
• Cultivates relationships with current and prospective students.
• Demonstrates proper sportsmanlike conduct and respect for players, officials, opponents, fans, and other coaches.
• Understands and maintains the standards of the Catholic Central Athletic Handbook.
• Maintains good public relations with media, boosters, parents, officials, players, and fans.
• Manages athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, respect, and good sportsmanship.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students, parents, staff, and school administration.
• Works with school staff to implement instructional goals and ensure overall educational development of student-athletes.
• Ensures unity among golf coaches and consistency across grades 9–12.
• Establishes performance criteria for competition and evaluates student athletic abilities regularly.
• Takes necessary precautions to protect student-athletes.
• Conducts a parent meeting before the start of the season.
• Motivates student-athletes to participate and remain engaged in the program.
• Monitors and enforces student eligibility for extracurricular activities.
• Collaborates with the Athletic Director and head coach to schedule competitions and make arrangements.
• Supervises student-athletes during competitions and school-related events.
• Instructs and advises students on NCAA academic eligibility and recruiting guidelines.
• Enforces student discipline during all athletic activities in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
• Promotes sportsmanlike conduct at all times.
• Maintains open communication by meeting with parents, students, faculty, and administrators.
• Adheres to development office fundraising policies and procedures.
• Promotes Catholic Central fundraising events.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school is preferred.
Previous coaching experience is preferred.
Must have a desire to work in a Catholic school and a concern for the well-being of student-athletes.
Comprehensive knowledge of the game is paramount; extensive knowledge of current coaching techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of MHSAA, OK Conference, and Catholic Central Athletic Handbook policies, with demonstrated commitment to adhering to policies and standards.
At least one year of relevant experience is preferred.
Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
