Head Men’s Golf Coach
School in Durham, North Carolina is looking for a Head Men’s Golf Coach.

Position Overview:
A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, a strong work ethic, outstanding communication skills, and high levels of integrity and honesty. Candidates must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, must be attentive to detail and accurate in record keeping, and possess an ability to work with a diverse constituency including students, parents, coaches, faculty, staff administrators and outside contacts.

Duties:
• Provide leadership and instruction in the personal and athletic development of student-athletes.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of men’s golf staff to include the planning, organizing, and coaching of the Men’s Golf team.
• Communicate regularly with the sport administrator and/or athletics director about the Men’s Golf, including but not limited to, issues, needs, progress, and success.
• Maintain/develop alumni relationships and support fundraising efforts for ongoing operation and advancement of the Men’s Golf.
• Offer leadership on issues related to the advancement of the Men’s Golf program.
• Ensure compliance with university, Atlantic Coast Conference, and NCAA policies and regulations and create a culture demanding compliance from staff and students involved with the program.
• Direct the Men’s Golf staff in the preparation of competitions; analyze tactical data and prepare accordingly.
• Counsel team members in academic, disciplinary and personal matters; consult with University administration and faculty for resolution of issues as required.
• Lead and direct staff and personnel in the recruitment of student-athletes. This includes coordinating with the University Undergraduate Admissions Office as it relates to university admissions.
• Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budgetary recommendations; monitor, verify and reconcile expenditures of budgeted funds.
• Direct various personnel functions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, and vacation schedules.
• Represent the university Department of Athletics in professional, civic, charity, and alumni events.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described therein.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred seven years of coaching experience at the Division I collegiate (or equivalent) level.
A commitment to knowing and complying with NCAA, ACC, and institutional rules.
Must be CPR certified or become certified within three months of hiring.
