Golf Cart Attendant
City government office in Sebastian, Florida is looking for a Golf Cart Attendant.

Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Golf Course Director, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of unskilled and semiskilled maintenance and repair work on golf carts and golf course facilities.

Essential Job Functions:
• Opens the clubhouse, starter station, cart barn, and club storage buildings. Morning shift disarms alarm; afternoon shift locks all buildings and sets alarm.
• Performs inspections on golf carts for mechanical malfunctions.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and inspections on golf carts including checking water levels in batteries, cleaning corrosion on battery terminals and battery cables, replacing battery cables as needed, checking air pressure levels in tires, repairing tires, greasing all grease fittings, lubricating charger receptacle, and checking all wiring and back-up warning devices.
• Performs skilled maintenance and repairs on a variety of structures and facilities.
• Ensures the proper maintenance on equipment and tools by cleaning and checking equipment and tools after use.
• Operates a variety of power tools and equipment.
• Inspects, recognizes, and reports any detected deterioration, repair needs, and maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Stages golf carts in accordance with golf play schedule. While staging carts, inspects carts for mechanical malfunctions including steering, brakes and hill brakes, tires, and engine power.
• Cleans and organizes the following areas: bag room, cart barn, cart wash area, starter’s station, driving range tee, and all other surrounding areas.
• Performs pick-up of driving range balls as needed and at end of day. Washes range balls and returns range balls to driving range machine. Checks range balls for cuts, cracks, and abrasions. Discards damaged range balls.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) years’ of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possession of a valid, State of Florida driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. Requirement exists at the time of hire and as a condition of continued employment.

Compensation:
$13.51 per hour.
