Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Lexington, Kentucky is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Work closely with the Head Golf Professional to provide a first-class experience for all members and guests. He or she will have an energetic personality and be highly motivated to succeed in this role. Manage the staff and represent the golf operation in the absence of the Head Golf Professional. He or she will be accountable for the management of all areas of the golf operation on a day-to-day basis and reporting all necessary items to the Head Golf Professional. The areas of accountability include, but are not limited to:

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate records including credit book, inventory, tee sheets, etc.
• Maintain golf shop displays.
• Receive, price, and display all incoming items for the golf shop inventory.
• Assist with the organization and running of tournaments.
• Oversee weekly events.
• Manage and motivate outside operations staff.
• Oversee operational cleanliness and appearance.
• Teach individual lessons and clinics.
• Work with the head golf professional to coordinate and direct the Junior Golf Academy.
• Play golf with a broad cross-section of the members.
• Maintain golf skills at a respectable level.

Requirements:
PGA Apprentice – Level 1 or higher (preferred).
Will actively pursue PGA membership in a timely manner through the PGA PGM program.
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations.
Strong leadership skills and ability to act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
Attention to detail.
Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market.
Excellent service and customer-focused attitude.
Experienced in written and oral business communications.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with Golf Genius or similar tournament software (preferred).

Compensation:
$48,000.00 – $51,500.00 per year.
