Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Madison, Wisconsin is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Duties:
• Assists in all facets of golf course and grounds maintenance and management.
• Supports personnel acquisition, training, and supervision.
• Helps to develop and implement agronomic plans including soil/water testing, plant protectant applications, fertility management and various turf cultivation practices.
• Course improvement project prioritization and completion.
• Irrigation and pumping systems maintenance and operation. (New in 2023)
• Assists in maintaining accurate application records and inventories.
• Facilitates tree and landscape master plan including removals, replanting and maintenance.

Requirements:
Associates or bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Turf Management, Agronomy, or related field.
Desire to supplement current education and experience with continuing education offered through local and national associations.
Category 3.0 WI Pesticide Applicator Certification obtained prior to Spring of 2025.
At least 3 years of experience in Golf Course Maintenance.
Possess a positive attitude, ability to work efficiently and function as a team.
Ability to communicate effectively to club members and employees.
Valid driver’s license.
Willingness to work 40 hours/week and every other weekend during the golf season. Optional: 4, 10-hour day schedule during off season. Tuesday through Friday or Monday through Thursday. Some snow removal duties.
Knowledge of the game of golf a plus.
Spanish-speaking ability a plus.

Compensation:
$70,000 – $75,000 per year.
