Assistant Golf Professional
University in Ames, Iowa is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This individual will be responsible for duties such as:
• Overseeing the rental and maintenance of golf cars.
• Overseeing the reservation system, starting, and monitoring of play.
• Tracking and verifying all players and guests, golf cars, handicap fees, and other charges necessary, and facilitate proper controls.
• Overseeing the administration of the handicap program.
• Enforcing all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Supervision of staff including pro shop staff and outside service.
• Implementation of policies and procedures along with staff training.
• Helping maintain and oversee a profitable merchandise concession that is consistent with patron demographics and needs.
• Establishing sales goals and forecasting for all golf programs and services, monitoring and analyzing reports.
• Assisting in golf-related purchasing.
• Implementing systems controls to ensure the safekeeping of assets, inventory and resources.
• Creating instructional programs to enhance service and maintain interest and enthusiasm among all customer segments.
• Assisting in marketing and promotion for instruction programming.
• Creating a player development program to foster a competitive environment, and providing career guidance for aspiring youth.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with golf instruction.
Currently enrolled or completion of Level I PGM Associate program.
Experience managing a golf car fleet.
Knowledge of golf tournament management software.
Knowledge of GHIN handicap system.
