Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Ardmore, Oklahoma is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Superintendent will work directly with the Golf Course Superintendent in overseeing daily golf course maintenance operations, managing staff, and implementing agronomic programs to maintain exceptional playing conditions. We seek an individual with strong leadership skills and a genuine passion for golf course management.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily golf course maintenance operations.
• Lead, train, and motivate maintenance staff.
• Assist with fertilizer, pesticide, and plant protectant applications.
• Monitor turfgrass health and assist with treatment programs.
• Assist with irrigation operation, troubleshooting, repairs, and water management.
• Oversee course setup, mowing, bunker maintenance, and routine maintenance activities.
• Assist with aerification, topdressing, cultivation, and seasonal agronomic programs.
• Help maintain equipment, facilities, and maintenance records.
• Promote safe work practices and proper handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Work with the Superintendent to improve course conditions and operational efficiency.

Requirements
• Golf course maintenance experience, preferably in a supervisory or assistant role.
• Knowledge of warm-season and cool-season turfgrass management.
• Experience with irrigation systems, pesticide applications, and maintenance equipment.
• Oklahoma pesticide applicator license preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as operations require.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to high standards.

Compensation
$50,000 per year.
