Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Miami, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Superintendent in overseeing daily maintenance of the Blue Monster golf course and surrounding grounds, including practice facilities and landscaped areas.
• Assist in planning, executing, and monitoring agronomic practices, including mowing schedules, chemical applications, irrigation, and pest/disease management.
• Provide supervision, training, and development of grounds staff to promote team engagement and continuous improvement.
• Take a leadership role in crew management and communication, ensuring high standards of execution.
• Monitor and adjust irrigation systems for optimal turf health and water efficiency.
• Collaborate with equipment technicians to ensure proper use and care of machinery.
• Support recordkeeping including chemical applications, weather data, and labor reports.
• Assist with tournament preparation—including the upcoming PGA Tour event—and special events to ensure flawless course presentation.
• Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Requirements
• 2- or 4-year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in golf course maintenance; supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of modern turfgrass science, irrigation systems, and course conditioning strategies.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Pesticide Applicator’s License or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Committed to ongoing professional development and advancement.

Compensation
$70,000 to $80,000 per year.
