Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Bluffton, South Carolina is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The chosen candidate must assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional with day-to-day golf operations.

Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Event preparation and execution.
• Merchandising.
• Instruction in clinic & private lesson settings.
• Club repair.
• Assist with training, recruiting, and hiring outside service members.
• Play golf with the membership and staff.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Maintain professional expertise through related courses and learning opportunities.
• If a PGA member, maintain PGA of America membership in good standing and mentor apprentices through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) program.
• If a PGA apprentice, make steady progress toward completion of PGA membership requirements.
• Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, tournament management and instruction.
• Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
• Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated with desire for continual improvement.
• Service and customer-focused attitude.
• Experienced in written and oral business communications.
• Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
• Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on business trends.

Compensation:
$40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year.
