Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Naples, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Works well in a team environment and strives to gain experience in all aspects of the operation. This professional will work in tandem with the staff to enhance the member and guest experience at the club. This person will neeed to be reliable and possess a strong work ethic.

Below are the job responsibilities:
• Will work under the supervision of the director of golf, 1st assistant.
• Seasonal assistant: start date mid-October–end of April. Starting dates are negotiable.
• Will work closely with Golf Genius with the 1st assistant.
• Works closely with other key members of the professional staff with events, tee-time coordination, booking lessons, GHIN software applications and daily routine starting.
• Provide members with quality golf instruction and lead in clinics.
• Standard golf shop routine and member & guest daily check-in. Must maintain a visible presence during working hours in the golf shop.
• Must be customer service oriented and be able to recognize and provide superior customer service.
• Must possess the will to learn from the professional staff and determination to become a head golf professional in the future.
• Must maintain high visibility with membership.
• Be capable of being a team member of a golf team with a cohesive customer service-oriented mindset.
• Proactively solve problems.
• Be ready to assist outside member services or starter when called upon.
• Golf with the membership and their guests when applicable.
• Playing and practicing is strongly encouraged.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of Golf Genius, Jonas point-of-sale, Members First website and tee times or other point-of-sale and tee time software, GHIN, handicap manual, and the rules of golf.
Must have exceptional communication, computer, and customer service skills.
PGA member or enrolled in PGA apprentice program is preferred.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Must have strong leadership skills.
Must demonstrate competent playing ability.
Must be well-versed in the latest technology and procedures.

Compensation:
$20 – $22 per hour.
