Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Syracuse, Utah is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations, including supervising staff.
• Manage the tee sheet and golf course flow.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in managing tournament operations and weekly league play, including planning, pre-tournament event sheets, post tournament billing, promotion, course set-up, preparation, scoring, prize distribution, and follow up.
• Conduct individual lessons and group clinics.
• Assist the director of golf to establish SOP’s ensuring we are constantly looking for ways to improve the experience at the course.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Embrace being an ambassador for the golf course and promote leagues, tournaments, and club functions.
• Assist in the daily merchandising to manage inventory and ensure shop displays and merchandise are kept pristine.

Requirements:
PGA member or at least past level 1 in the PGA program.
Minimum of 1 year golf industry experience preferred; or completion of a six-month internship.
Working knowledge of Golf Genius is a plus.
Experience with pos systems, preferably ForeUp software.
Experienced with rules of golf, golf facility operations, and tournament operations, and techniques of teaching.
Must be organized and have the ability to keep other staff on task.
Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
Positive attitude even in stressful situations is a must-have trait.
Experience with accurate handling of cash transactions.
Working knowledge on how to keep a tee sheet running efficiently and evaluating pace of play standards.

Compensation:
$18.00 – $24.00 per hour.
