Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Phoenix, Arizona is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Supports the Director of Golf in all aspects of course management including pro-shop operations, tournament scheduling and completion, customer service, scheduling tee times, starter, merchandising, and food and beverage operations. Position also works with members and guests through lessons and golf camps.

Duties:
• Works closely with the Director of Golf in directing day to day operations. Must establish and maintain good working relationships with employees in other departments and with the members, guest & general public.
• Interprets and enforces the golf rules and regulations with guidance from the Director of Golf.
• Daily tee sheet management including: Scheduling tee times for members and guests in the proper groups on proper days, accurately and efficiently.
• Responsible for operation of cash register and sales reports and tee sheet reconciliation.
• Assists in implementation of group and individual lessons as well as Jr. Golf camps.
• Responsible for display of pro-shop merchandise, appearance of pro-shop and sales.
• Responsible for tournament set up for all events using Golf Genius. This includes, but not limited to: cart tags, scorecards, rules sheets, contest holes, alphabetical player lists for player service, name labels (for outside events), scoreboards, tournament scoring, skins and pari-mutuel calculations, results sheets, sponsor signs and any additional tasks that may be required to assist in making events successful.
• Assist in monthly inventory and maintain the appropriate inventory levels of all retail merchandise.
• Assist with administrative functions, including daily accounting, managing accounts payable, and processing member billing.
• Promote golf tournament participation.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Perform golf handicap maintenance functions and reports.

Requirements:
PGA apprentice in good standing preferred.
1-3 years of experience as an Assistant Professional at a similar statured club, preferably but not mandatory.

Compensation:
$17.00 – $19.00 per hour.
