Assistant Golf Professional
Golf course in Olympia Fields, Illinois is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Duties:
• Maintain a positive and enthusiastic interaction with members, guests, and fellow employees.
• Assist the outside service operations manager with needs pertaining to outside operations.
• Candidate will have the opportunity to assist in the instruction of the club’s engaged junior program.
• Assist professional staff in managing the mission 4:15 pace of play for members and guests.
• Introduction to club repair work including regripping and proper application of shaft labels.
• Work closely with PGA head golf professional on exceeding expectations, providing direction/management of staff, assisting and administering golf instruction programs, enforcing course policies, assisting with tournament operations, supporting retail operations, and developing and implementing marketing plans.
• Assist members and guests as they register for play and maintain a properly functioning tee sheet at all times.
• Support the head merchandiser with daily and monthly merchandising needs such as complete product knowledge, ordering and displaying of merchandise, maintaining proper inventory levels, and keeping the golf shop in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
• Cooperate in performing any other duty deemed reasonable and necessary by the supervisor or management.

Requirements:
PGA associate or member preferred, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Prior knowledge of Clubessential POS preferred, but not required.
Prior knowledge of Golf Genius tournament software preferred, but not required.
Candidate must possess a positive, charismatic disposition.
Self-motivated, eager-to-learn individual who will grow under the tutelage of a seasoned professional staff.
Prior working knowledge of private club operations is a plus.

Compensation:
$16.00 per hour.
