Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Woodside, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Works with the Golf Course Superintendent and reports directly to the Director of Agronomy. Should the candidate reach their individual goals, this position provides the opportunity for future promotion to Superintendent within the club. This position provides a unique opportunity to learn how to maintain Santa Ana hybrid Bermuda fairways and bentgrass greens in a Northern California climate. The successful candidate will be a positive leader, motivator, and will act as a mentor to our team.

Requirements:
An associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school is preferred.
Suitable courses of study: Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture or related field.
A minimum of 2 years of golf maintenance experience.
Desire to become a Golf Course Superintendent. Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter who leads by example.
Irrigation experience, including troubleshooting, repairs, programming, watering.
Experience calibrating, and applying, and monitoring chemical and fertilizer applications.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to operate general golf course maintenance equipment.
Spanish speaking preferred.
Experience with Toro Lynx irrigation operating system preferred
Must be able to attain California QAL/QAC within 90-days of employment

Compensation:
$90,000 – $95,000 per year.
Performance-based bonus, 401k, medical, dental, vision, cell phone, gas allowance, industry dues and subscriptions.
The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
