Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Incline Village, Nevada is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Duties:
1. Provides excellent service to all internal and external customers and business partners.
2. Oversees and covers all facets of tournament coordination at the Mountain Course upon receipt of signed contract. This includes all follow-up phone contacts, meetings, up-selling, pairings and scoring. Provides daily written communications to involved departments with specifics for each group and unique event. Maintains and documents contact with each group regarding any changes up to the date of the tournament or event.
3. Updates tee sheets; manages and tracks tee-time allocations at the Mountain Golf Courses by inputting data in the point-of-sale (POS) system; allocating tee-times among local golf clubs, passholders, residents, non-residents, charities and outside groups in accordance with the District’s allocation policy as established by Board policy.
4. Checks-in golfers, club members and tournament groups when required; calls golfers to the No. 1 and 10 tees.
5. Operates complex POS registers to process pro shop sales; accepts cash or credit card payments; makes change as needed and implements special discount programs as directed.
6. Records special account charges as appropriate to resident book accounts, club member accounts, local lodging suppliers, etc. Maintaining a variety of report data including clubs, complimentary play, employee play, standby play, etc.
7. Develops, updates and distributes an event calendar on the POS system to ensure all departments are informed on all up-coming events.
8. Ensures all tee prizes and orders are communicated to the District Merchandiser in advance and proper paper work, logos and follow-up is completed in a timely manner.
Personally greets or ensures each group is greeted upon arrival and that all tournament services are rendered and customer needs are met. Is visible for all Mountain Niner events to announce & score if required.
9. Reviews and approves tournament rings including changes in player count, billing and finalization of a product purchased by a group.
10. Follows-up with each group with either a written thank-you or phone call. Surveys groups for satisfaction levels and opportunities for improvement and future re-bookings.
11. Develops tournament procedures and responsible for informing and training all staff on the duties and responsibilities related to each tournament or event.
12. Responds to and resolves customer inquiries and complaints; interfaces with customers to promote customer service and satisfaction.
13. Work directly with the 1st Assistant & Sr. Head Golf Professional to plan and organize the season’s events.
14. Reach out to groups that are booked for the upcoming season for an introduction and brief summary of what information you need from the groups in order to run a successful event. Documents each group with a ‘Group File’ for future reference.
15. Inputs and/or monitors employee time & pay records using an automated system. Ensures records are accurate each pay period.
16. Follows all safety rules and guidelines; ensuring staff is trained to follow procedures.

Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and four years experience in a customer service environment including one year of experience coordinating and scheduling special events or programs and a working knowledge of the game of golf and golf course operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience as a PGA Professional or as a PGM Intern in golf operations preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication and guest service skills; ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to multi-task; very good computer skills for word processing, spreadsheet, point of sale and
email applications; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines; ability to function effectively in a highly political environment; ability to maintain composure when dealing with irate customers; ability to handle cash accurately, honestly and safely; ability to up-sell and work effectively with a variety of departments; and ability to work a schedule which includes weekends and holidays.

Compensation:
$55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year.
