Head Golf Professional
Golf Course in Fripp Island, South Carolina is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee all aspects of golf operations of the Pro Shop, including managing all golf and golf-related activities, shop management, instruction, and member relations at the facility and to perform general duties as required to meet or exceed members’ and guests’ expectations. He or she must demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and customer services skills.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide high service level to all members, guests and resort guests.
• Oversee the Golf operation including starting, course services, golf shop, managing inventory, merchandising, driving range, rental program and golf cart services.
• Provide golf lessons, develop instruction programs, and oversee player development initiatives
• Manage and coordinate individual, group, tournament, and other golf activities as directed by management.
• Hire, train, and supervise golf shop staff and outside service driving range and Starter/Shack staff.
• Process customer reservations for guest of the golf course.
• Produce daily reports related to rounds, sales, etc. for management.
• Monitor all aspects of play, including starting, monitoring pace of play, safety on the course, and golf course markings.
• Develop and manage the annual budget for golf operations.
• Inspect golf course on a regular basis and pass your and member guest comments to the superintendent
• Ensure a safe environment for golfers and staff.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite the check-in process.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
• Works in tandem with the Head Golf Professional.

Requirements:
PGA Member.
5 years of experience as a golf professional, with supervisory experience required.
Strong customer/guest orientation, leadership, communication, interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. In-depth understanding of the game, its rules, and teaching.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
Bachelor’s degree (PGM) or equivalent experience desired but not required.
