Golf Course in Arlington, Texas is looking for a Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Under general supervision, this position plans, directs and oversees the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse and related programs and services at the city’s eighteen- and nine-hole golf courses.

Duties:
• Ability to plan, promote, direct, and monitor clubhouse operations for one eighteen-hole and one nine-hole course at different geographic locations, including: food & beverage concessions; merchandise concessions; alcohol concessions; riding cart operations; and customer complaints/concern regarding clubhouse and golf course operations.
• Ability to select, train, schedule, evaluate and direct activities of personnel involved in two clubhouse operations and related programs and services, including all aspects of customer service and the sale of alcoholic beverages, ensuring optimum service for patrons.
• Ability to plan and schedule the requisition of supplies and equipment for the two clubhouses, including: merchandise; display items; food and beverage supplies and equipment; alcoholic beverages; preventive maintenance and replacement parts for fleet of riding carts; and contracted clubhouse services.
• Ability to plan, teach and manage golf lesson, leagues, and tournament programs for the two clubhouse locations which includes development, execution, promoting, scheduling, coordinating and financial recording.
• Ability to prepare and execute two clubhouses operating budgets, closely monitor and adjust expenses and revenues to attain desired cost recovery, collect and account for green fee and clubhouse concession revenue, prepare financial reports, maintain accurate inventory records, monitor and perform internal audits addressing all aspects of asset control.

Requirements:
Ability to make recommendations and develop new practices and procedures to improve the facility and services provided to patrons at one eighteen-hole and one nine-hole course clubhouse locations.
Ability to work with the Greens Superintendents to provide input on course playability and conditions.
Ability to perform related duties as needed or directed such as opening and closing clubhouse and ensuring.
Knowledge of principles and practices of golf clubhouse management.
Knowledge of golf instruction/lesson programs.
Knowledge of merchandising operations.
Knowledge of food and beverage operations to include the sales and service of alcoholic beverages.
Knowledge of golf tournament operations.
Knowledge of basic golf cart operations.
Knowledge of golf rules, regulations, and golf etiquette.
Skill in instruction of patrons in the techniques of playing golf.
Skill in planning, promoting and operating golf tournaments.
Skill in promotion of golf facilities and activities.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective communications with the public, staff, and the maintenance department.
Ability to prepare and administer annual budget and monitor revenues and expenditures necessary to achieve desired cost recovery.
Ability to select, schedule, direct and evaluate the work of clubhouse personnel.
Ability to requisition and effectively display golf equipment and supplies.
Ability to perform minor repairs to riding golf carts.
Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including, but not limited to seeing, carrying, kneeling, twisting body and standing.
Ability to operate a motorized vehicle.
Ability to operate a variety of equipment including, but not limited to telephone, calculator, and personal computer.
Ability to lift or exert forces equivalent to lifting up to 50 pounds; and push/pull 25 lbs. for 40 feet.
Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
Associate’s Degree in Business Management or related field.
Four years’ experience in clubhouse operations which include pro shop operations, food and beverage operations and maintaining a fleet of electrical golf carts and supervisory responsibility.
Possession of a valid Texas Operator’s License, Class C.
Class A member of the PGA or LPGA of America in Good standing or the ability to attain within 6 months of hire.
TABC Seller Certification or the ability to obtain within 3 days of hire.
Food Managers Certification or the ability to obtain with 30 days of hire.

Compensation:
$70,994.00 – $88,742.00 per year.
