Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Southampton, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Managing bentgrass greens complementing fine fescue fairways this wind swept Peconic Bay site offers a unique opportunity to experience sea-side style management. This position will allow the individual to be closely involved with the intensely managed playing surfaces on a daily basis.

Requirements:
A 2 or 4 year Degree or Certificate in the Plant and Soil Sciences.
Past experience is required although a management position is not required. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
A Team Player who will thrive in a multi-assistant role.
A positive attitude and ability to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong understanding of golf course set up as it plays a crucial role in our day-to-day
Experience with Hand watering to maintain championship conditions.
Possess a strong understanding of disease/insect identification.
Ability to carry out chemical and fertilizer applications.
A professional appearance and demeanor is mandatory.
An ability to assist with planning, training, and directing of maintenance personnel.
An understanding of simple irrigation principals.
Restoration projects.
Ability to secure a NYSDEC Commercial Pesticide Applicators License.
A clear understanding of the commitment needed to manage a Top 100 facility.

Compensation:
$80,000 – $95,000 per year.
