Summer Golf Course Intern
Country Club in Highland Park, Illinois is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.

Position Overview:
Below is a list of tasks that will be at the core of your skill set as well as events to look forward to:
• Hand Watering, emphasizing in greens moisture management.
• Introduction to golf course building methods including variable-depth green construction.
• Exposure to high-level turfgrass maintenance and the relationship between playability and aesthetics.
• Cultural practices and insight into ISTRC testing.
• Drainage installation.
• Irrigation repair, troubleshooting, programming.
• Tank mixing and pesticide applications.
• Fertilizer applications and necessary calibration procedures.
• Budget workshops and Early Order strategies.
• Resume workshop.
• Tour nearby agronomic operations.
• Volunteer offsite tournament.
• Leading small crews and scheduling for a week.
• Post Internship bonus, based on performance.

Requirements:
Associate, Certificate, two- or four-year degree in related field.
Preferred 1+ years experience on golf course or sports field team.
Reliability and a desire to learn is all we require.

Compensation:
$20 per hour.
