Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Naples, Florida is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Provide excellent customer service while assisting in daily Pro Shop operations. Greet members/guests in friendly, professional manner, sell merchandise, collect greens fees, make tee time reservations and assist in coordinating tournaments and special events. Assist with merchandising and inventory control; maintain neat, organized and well-stocked Pro Shop.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Answer telephone promptly and courteously, help with scheduling tee times as needed, inform members and guests about attire, equipment rental and supplies, etc.
• Promote sales by using suggestive selling techniques.
• Ensure that shop is kept clean and that displays are properly stocked and attractively merchandised to promote sales.
• Collect and record greens fees and/or cart rental fees. Issue receipts for fees and rentals as needed.
• Complete daily opening and closing reports. Ensure all assigned inventory counts are accurate.
• Assist in special orders, packing and unpacking inventory.
• Protect assets against losses and shoplifting.
• Take messages and convey them in a timely manner to members/guests using the facility.
• Recruit tournament participants and assist with the organization and production of tournament events, group outings and other special events as needed.
• Assist in training of new staff to ensure standard operation procedures are communicated and adhered to.
• Maintain constant communication line with assistant golf professional in order to keep abreast of all shop related problems, customer requests and fast-moving items to maximize sales and guest satisfaction.
• Communicate and demonstrate company Hospitality Values to members/guests and staff at all times.

Requirements:
Previous customer service experience in the golf industry.
High degree of golf knowledge & willingness to take on all golf operation related tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Prior retail experience is a plus.
Jonas POS system experience preferred.
ForeTees experience preferred.
Golf Genius experience preferred.
CPR/AED Certified required.
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Must be able to read and speak English.
Effectively and professionally, deal with customers, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger.
Prioritize, organize and handle multiple tasks with speed and accuracy.
Excel in fast-paced, high-pressure situations with little to no direct supervision.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills; strong attention to detail.
Work well in a team and take the initiative to achieve positive guest relations and maximize guest satisfaction.
