1st Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Salisbury, North Carolina is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Report directly to the Head Golf Professional. This position will perform all golf shop duties and applicable department operations and services; assure high standards and customer satisfaction. The position will promote an exceptional “golf experience,” and provide excellent services and programs for all the club’s members and guests. This successful candidate must be self-motivated, energetic, experienced and team-oriented.

Responsibilities and priorities include:
• Perform their duties in accordance with the Clubs Operating Procedures and training manuals for the golf operation.
• Serve as the point person responsible for the Golf Operation in the absence of the Head Professional.
• Provide guidance to the 2nd Assistant Golf Professional.
• The Assistant Golf Professional will lead, hire, and manage the outside service staff.
• Will be responsible for coordinating maintenance for the Cart Fleet, and insure that Carts are maintained.
• May assist in written correspondence, reporting, newsletters, and communications for the golf operation.
• Help coordinate plans with the Food and Beverage Manager for all food and beverage needs, on-course food and beverage needs, banquets, outside events, and catering for all golf functions.
• Meet, greet, and welcome prospective customers/patrons.
• Enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Interpret and enforce The Rules of Golf.
• Assist in the organization of the tournament program that services all customer segments.
• Provide golf instruction, clinics, golf schools, and golfer development programs for all customer segments. Be the lead coordinator for Jr. Programing.
• Track and verify all players, golf cars, club care, bag storage, handicap fees, and other charges necessary, and facilitate proper controls.
• Assist in the marketing and promotion of new memberships/play.
• Assist in the Retail Operation as time permits.
• Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the club and surrounding community.

Requirements:
Golfer with history of and knowledge of the game.
Understanding of competitive events.
Class A or Participating in the PGA Education Program to obtain Membership.
Previous experience at a Private Club is a plus with either Membership or work experience.
Excellent Written & Verbal Communication.
Experience with daily, and weekly revenue reports.

Compensation:
$40,000.00 – $43,000.00 per year.
