Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Course in Midland, Georgia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for managing the Columbus Junior Golf Association and other junior programs. This position will also perform some operational/management duties at city golf facilities.

Duties:
• Customer Service.
• Manage and supervise Pro Shop staff.
• Operate POS/check-in at peak business time.
• Assist in event planning and operations.
• Maximize revenue through the best use of golf courses.
• Promote entire facility business – Grill, beverage cart, Pro Shop.
• Communicate information to staff or manager.
• Manage cash handling procedures.
• Teach junior golf clinics.
• Run junior golf programs.
• Manage those assisting with junior programs.
• Promote junior golf throughout the community.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Customer Service.
Knowledge of golf and the needs of golfers.
Knowledge of Golf Course Policies.
Knowledge of event needs and solutions.
Knowledge of POS operations.
Skilled in communicating with the public.
Skilled in problem-solving.
Knowledge of competitor rates, policies, and conditions.
Junior golf instructional knowledge including safe practices.
Excellent Customer Service Skills.
Extensive Golf Knowledge.
Sufficient experience to solve problems and promote positive business practices.
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of specialized training in the occupational field, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.

Compensation:
$19.23 per hour.
