Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Tucson, Arizona is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
To assist with the management of daily operations including managing daily play and tee time activities. Work under the direction of the Director of Golf/ Head Golf Professional to run programs and events for the membership. Protect the assets of the Association and Golf Shop. Supervise all rangers and starters. Assist with merchandising golf shop, tournament administration, and providing professional services to all members and guests that will ensure an exceptional golf experience. Attend meetings as needed to provide information to the Board of Directors in the absence of the Director of Golf.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the total golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Director of Golf.
• Provide excellent customer service, professional advice and assistance to all members and guests.
• Control and manage play: ensure member and guest check-in and fee collection in accordance with board policy.
• Manage and oversee operation of the practice facilities and access to facilities.
• Create and manage the Chelsea Tee Time System daily course configurations.
• Oversee the Ranger and Starters and Golf Shop personnel which includes scheduling, training, suggest hiring, and firing of these employees.
• Conduct monthly staff meeting with Rangers/ Starters and other shop staff.
• Assist in the purchasing, receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
• Manage the club repair business.
• Assist with the management of the handicap program with all leagues and members.
• Assist the Director of Golf with planning and budgeting of golf shop operations.
• Assist with managing events and tournament for members and guests.
• Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner.

Requirements:
In or planning to participate in PGA program.

Compensation:
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour.
