2nd Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Duties will include but are not limited to: Day to Day operations of the golf shop and outside operations, assist in the preparation and running of weekly Men’s and Ladies Day events, assist with inventory management, displays and organization of golf shop merchandise and assist with tournament operations including tournament software, rules and information. The ideal candidate possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills; with the ability to interact with members, guests, and staff on all levels in a professional demeanor. The ability to work as a team player and maintain a professional appearance is crucial.

Golf Shop Operations:
• Full knowledge of all opening and closing procedures of the golf shop.
• Assist in managing the day-of-play tee sheet.
• Communicate with outside services, starter, directional and player assistant of all changes.
• Assist membership in booking tee times through Club Essential.
• Stay updated and current on all upcoming events scheduled throughout the year.
• Manage the first tee when starting.
• Manage the golf course for the enjoyment of all when working a player assistance shift.

Retail Operations:
• Work with the Buyer in maintaining a neat and organized retail space.
• Assist in special ordering and shipment receiving on a daily basis.
• Manage invoicing and inventory for all Hard Goods.
• Assist with monthly inventory of all merchandise.
• Maintain and stock inventory of daily operation supplies for the golf shop including; gloves, golf balls, scorecards, tees, pencils, ball marks, etc.
• Keep the Golf Shop visibly pristine at all time.

Tournament Operations:
• Assists the 1st Assistant with managing, running, and completing events
• Become knowledgeable in all aspects of tournament/event set-up: scoreboards, headers, on-course events, staging area set-up and billing.
• Working knowledge of Golf Genius Tournament Software and Microsoft Office.

Club Repair:
• Maintain and inventory all stock items necessary for in-house club repair work including; grips, tape, and fluids.
• Complete member and guest club repair needs in a timely fashion.
• Maintain accurate records of all in-house and out-of-house club repair work.
• Keep club repair area neat, clean and organized at all times.

Miscellaneous Duties:
• Maintain playing ability and work to stay competent in all areas of your golf game.
• Be prepared to fill in at all times in any capacity within the golf operations.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety.
• Assists in training colleagues in proper safety techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
PGA Member or PGA Associate (Level 2 or higher) in good standing with 1-2 years as an Assistant at a high-end private club is preferred.

Compensation:
$20.00 – $25.00 per hour.
