Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Farmingdale, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
• Assists with planning, scheduling, instructing, training, and directing crew in the performance of golf course maintenance procedures and job responsibilities.
• Oversees and or makes chemical and fertilizer applications.
• Record keeping including daily activity, chemical and fertilizer applications.
• Oversees cleanup and storage of tools and equipment at the end of the shift.
• Advises the Superintendent of all performance issues and enforces of performance standards.
• Assumes management responsibilities as needed in the absence of the Superintendent.
• Communicates with members, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent.

Requirements:
Certificate or Degree in turf grass management preferred.
Requires knowledge of agronomy and related practices.
Requires knowledge of the game of golf.
Must be able to supervise work effectively.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must have a good sense of urgency.
Must have good customer relations skills.
Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers and members.
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Must Be able to attain a NYS pesticide license.

Compensation:
$60,000 – $100,000 per year.
