Summer Golf Course Intern
Golf Club in Siasconset, Massachusetts is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.

Position Overview:
Interns will be exposed to all aspects of golf course management including, but not limited to, daily equipment setup, participation in morning meetings, irrigation management and repair, fertilizer/chemical calibration and applications, management of weekly topdressing programs, clubhouse and guest cottage landscaping, tournament preparation, daily meetings with golf course managers, and more. Interns work closely with the management staff. Each afternoon, interns participate in manager’s meetings. Interns provide their observations from the day and make any recommendations for ongoing improvements and changes. This is a great opportunity to improve communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. During these meetings, nightly irrigation is scheduled, which allows the intern to experience rigorous water management practices.

Requirements:
Currently enrolled in Turfgrass Management or related field.
Internships between 3 and 9 months are available.
Previous experience preferred but will train the right individual.

Compensation:
$23 per hour.
Two meals are provided daily, including on days off.
Housing is provided.
Golfing privileges.
Uniforms are provided.
The dormitory includes a basketball court, vending machines, free washing machines, billiards table, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and is 100 yards from our offices.
Club-wide staff parties and events during the season.
