Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Golf Club in Ludlow, Vermont is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
Areas of focus will be course set-up, chemical and fertilizer applications, irrigation set-up, diagnosis and repair, course renovation and construction projects, managing/delegating daily crew tasks, assisting equipment manager with reel set-up, grinding, and adjustment. In winter months Dec-March we operate our Nordic Center,have extensive snow removal responsibilities, and maintain a section of snowmobile trail. This is a position that will require someone willing to work 50-55+ hours a week in the heat of the summer as well as in the winter months. With that in mind we are highly flexible with our schedules throughout the year. and vacation time use is permitted in the summer, fall and winter. The selected candidate will be expected to take on the Assistant Superintendent position within 12 months or be encouraged to advance their career elsewhere.

Requirements:
Must have completed or be currently enrolled in winter school, or any certificate program at a minimum.
1-2 years experience working on golf grounds crew.
Must have a desire to become an Assistant Superintendent or Golf Course Superintendent.
Must be highly reliable, have a passion for golf turf management.
Must have sense of humor/personality/ team-mentality.

Compensation:
$20 – $22 per hour.
Potential housing for right candidate, discounted meals, free golf, uniforms.
2 weeks of vacation time 1 week of sick time.
VTGCSA dues and meetings.
