Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Avon Park, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
Play a pivotal role in the maintenance and management of our golf course, overseeing all aspects of agronomy, turfgrass management, and course improvement. You will work closely with our maintenance team to maintain and enhance the quality and appearance of our greens, fairways, and surrounding areas. Your expertise will be essential in providing a great experience to our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of golf course maintenance, including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance plan to ensure the course is in peak condition year-round.
• Monitor and manage turfgrass health, including aeration, overseeding, and topdressing.
• Budget and financial management for the maintenance department, including cost control and purchasing.
• Lead and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring they are trained and motivated to deliver the highest standards of golf course care.
• Implement environmental and sustainability initiatives to minimize the course’s ecological impact.
• Collaborate with the Golf Course Manager to plan and execute special events, tournaments, and course closures.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and safety procedures.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and repair schedules to ensure optimal performance.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory compliance in the field of golf course management.

Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or a similar role.
A degree or certification in turfgrass management, horticulture, or related field is preferred.
In-depth knowledge of golf course maintenance practices, equipment operation, and turfgrass care.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Budgeting and financial management experience.
Familiarity with environmental and sustainability practices in golf course management.
A valid driver’s license.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as necessary.

Compensation:
$60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year.
