Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Work alongside our Head Golf Professional to deliver an outstanding membership experience. Membership engagement and participation will be the focus of the golf operation. Other areas of importance include golf shop day-to-day operations, tournament operations, merchandising, league play, and instruction.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Member relationships.
• Assist in hiring and scheduling staff.
• Oversee and manage day-to-day operations.
• Knowledge of ClubProphet POS management system.
• Knowledge of excel and word.
• Help build an extensive Junior golf program.
• Help maintain inventory management of Golf Shop.
• Communicate with members and staff.
• Work well in a team environment.
• Meet and greet all Members and Guests in the golf shop, on the golf course and on the practice tee.
• Hires, trains, schedules and supervises cart attendants, and golf shop personnel; Directs the daily operations of the pro shop.
• Contribute with all aspects of the merchandising operation. Including special orders, receiving inventory and creatively displaying merchandise.
• Spend time with outside operations as needed.
• Learn to run Member/Outside events from start to finish using tournament software.
• Spend time on the course Playing and Assisting Members of all skill levels.

Requirements:
Has knowledge of the organization and management of a pro shop including staff, facilities and equipment management.
Understands the rules of golf, the equipment used and golf tournament organization.
Has knowledge of practice facility operation and management.
Effective communication skills orally and in writing.
Able to provide a high level of customer service with attention to detail.
Proficient with common MS Office computer programs and experience with POS systems.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
Experience in working in a golf shop or interested in pursuing golf as a career.
Experience as a golf professional or actively pursuing PGA Membership in a timely manner as an Associate or through the PGA Golf Management program is a plus but not required.

Compensation:
$50,000.00 per year.
