Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Newington, Connecticut is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Responsibilities include:
• Assist in managing club tournament operations, including weekly events.
• Assist with men’s, women’s, and junior golf events and programs.
• Conduct individual lessons and group clinics.
• Assist with the management of outside service staff.
• Assist in managing golf car operation, practice facility, and club storage service.
• Provide club repair and club fitting services to members.
• Assist in the inventory control, merchandising and sales in the Golf Shop.
• Play golf with members in competitive and non-competitive situations.
• Assist in coordinating golf activities with other departments.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Maintain PGA of America membership or acceptable progress in attaining membership.

Requirements:
Has the desire to become a Head Golf Professional and who will assume those responsibilities.
Previous private club experience is preferred, but is not a requirement.
However, a proven record of providing exceptional customer service is a requirement.
Candidates with Golf Shop experience, the ability to help run a Golf Operation effectively and the ability to teach are very helpful.
Proficiency in technology is a must.
Knowledge of the Golf Genius tournament software, web development and social media is a strong plus.
Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to give 100% of their attention to our members and guests.
Demonstrate a genuine interest in others and be easily approachable.
Be a team player with the ability to lead staff by example.
Be able to multi-task in a relatively fast-paced environment and be in control.
Be responsible, trustworthy, dedicated and have a Professional Appearance.

Compensation:
$800.00 – $1,000.00 per week.
