Summer Golf Course Intern
Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland is looking for a Summer Golf Course Intern.

Position Overview:
Individuals will work closely with the Superintendent and Assistants in developing their skill set in an array of management tasks necessary to provide championship conditions in the transition zone.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Course Set Up (set tee markers and choose pin locations for play).
• Plant Protectant/ Fertilizer Application and Calibration (work closely with the Spray Tech to be trained to spray hawk greens, approaches and tees as well as calibrating push spreaders and sprayers).
• Irrigation Repair and Troubleshooting (work with the Irrigation Tech to learn and get hands on experience with broad spectrum troubleshooting and repairs).
• Hand Watering All Surfaces (greens, tees, fairways).
• Morning Equipment Set Up (set up carts, mowers and all equipment going out for the day).
• Walk Mowing Tees, Approaches, and Greens.
• Aerification (operating a 648 Pro-Core on all playing surfaces, topdressing, rolling and more).

Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a two or four-year Turfgrass Management degree, certificate program, or related field.
Prior golf course or sports turf experience preferred, but not required.

Compensation:
$18 per hour.
